California League Team Photos

This is an ongoing project of trying to find a team photo from every team and every season of the California League. Some of these photos have come from my personal collection such as team photo giveaways and pictures from programs and yearbooks, while others have come from newspaper clippings, historical societies, current California League Team's files, and internet searches.

The galleries are organized by city:

California League All-Star Teams

Cal League All-Stars

The first California League All-Star game was held in 1941 where the team with the best first half record played against the All-Stars of the remaining teams. This format was used again from 1960 to 1962. The North vs. South format was used from 1946 to 1949, 1954, 1955, 1959, 1984 to 1995, and again in 1998 (1998 the divisions were called Freeway and Valley instead of North and South). The current format for the All-Star game is the California League vs the Carolina League, which began in 1996 and has been held every year except for 1998. The site for the game alternates between the two Leagues each season. There was no All-Star Game for the California League in 1942, 1950 to 1953, 1956 to 1958, or 1963 to 1983
